Valerie Elkins is Moving On

Valerie Elkins is moving to new things.

There is a new blog in town

Valerie Elkins is pleased to announce some new changes. Not only has Valerie updated and revamped her website ValerieElkins.com and her business model – but, she will soon be changing how she communicates through her family history blog, FamilyCherished.com.

Introducing her new blog – Valerie’s Blog, catchy title right! Valerie explains, “I wanted to make it easier for people to find the information they are looking for from me. FamilyCherished will continue to focus on one of my passions, which is how to cherish, love and share your family history in meaningful ways. Lots of great new things are coming to FamilyCherished.com – so stay tuned! Valerie’s Blog will focus on all the news, tips, ideas and cool things about family history that I feel are worth sharing.”

Valerie continues, “I have been given opportunities to meet people and have access to new things in the genealogy world that not everyone else does. I love to promote great ideas, introduce others to people they should know and encourage innovation that makes genealogy research easier, more accessible and inclusive.

Celebrate with Valerie

To help celebrate her new blog, Valerie is giving readers a sneak peek and an introduction to a brand new company, called Collectionaire. Collectionaire will officially be launching their company at Rootstech. Pull out your Rootstech app and star booth 1003 to find them in the Exhibitor Hall.

Collectionaire is really an inspired idea that will help you quickly locate and access all your digital images that are strewn across the internet. Do have photos, videos, and memories in places like Dropbox, Youtube, Google Photos, etc?

Collectionaire does not move the images to their site, but rather is a collection of links to each image on any platform. Using a family tree structure to quickly locate each bit of data on each person on your tree. Watch their video to get a better idea of what they do.

Valerie has been given a free subscription for her to test out. “I like this idea a lot and I can see lots of applications for use. My mother is not very tech savvy. Having one site where she can go to a collection of one of her grandchildren, click and then go to their latest posts on Instagram, Facebook or find a particular picture quickly will make life so much easier for her. I personally have images saved in a variety of places, being able to use Collectionaire like an index will help me access an image quickly, which is time-saving and much more efficient.”

FREE! Enter to Win!

To help celebrate Valerie’s Blog launch, Collectionaire is offering a FREE 1-year Premium Plan subscription to one of Valerie’s readers. Leave a comment below with your email address, subscribe to her newsletter, share on social media or come say hi and mention Collectionaire to her at Rootstech and you will then be entered into the drawing that will take place at Rootstech on March 2, 2019, (do them all and have a greater chance to win!) What a neat idea! Who doesn’t have photos everywhere? Of course you know I’d use this to find more photos to add to my Joyflips account 🙂 Sounds like a great pairing.
